About the Award-Winning Theme
This year’s Durga Pujo pandal celebrated an ancient Bengal art form tracing back to the Indus Valley Civilization. For over 4,000 years, artisans have practiced the lost-wax casting technique, where wax, clay, and fire come together to create timeless bronze forms.
Each piece is unique — a result of the sacred interplay of hand and flame — depicting motifs of gods, animals, and tribal life. This tradition — commonly known through dokra craft — stands as a symbol of Bengal’s harmony between nature, faith, and imagination.
Through this pandal, we honored this ageless craft — an enduring reminder of India’s artistic legacy and its power to inspire across generations. Our artists used locally procured organic and recyclable material to recreate the magic.
